Introduction
Red Roses Yellow Rain are pictures of interiors taken on the Chinese country side in a number of provinces, many along the utmost borders of China. The pictures are taken between 2005-2010.
The original name of the project was Enchanted Spaces - a series of interiors taken in The Netherlands, Russia, China and Japan. The main topic is the need and the feeling of having a 'Home'. Home is more then 4 walls and a roof and a couple of pieces of furniture. Home is the place where you still can be yourselves - the place where you can live out your dreams. The need for a Home is a universal need, shared with people from many different cultural backgrounds. I this way these pictures reach much further then the borders of China.
